Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin is a paediatric teaching hospital located in Crumlin, Dublin. It is Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital and employs approximately 1,900 staff members. The hospital opened its doors in 1956 and treats and cares for children aged between 0 and 16 years.
As CHI at Crumlin is a teaching hospital, students from a number of universities in Dublin such as Trinity, UCD, and the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland receive training here. The hospital is also heavily involved in paediatric research and has a well-equipped Children’s Research Centre on the hospital grounds.
